Cap and Würth Phoenix enter a partnership in offering the Next ICT Logger

The solution meets in a flexible and easy way the regulations of the Italian Privacy Law

Cap, Italian leading company on the IT market and Würth Phoenix, international service provider for software business solutions, entered a partnership agreement to promote the Next ICT Logger. The solution meets the licensing laws of the new Italian privacy regulation regarding the access registration of system administrators. The decree imposed the obligation for all system administrators, including network, database and maintenance administrators to store the “access logs” into non changeable and unalterable files for at least six months.

    Real time registration

Next ICT Logger, a part of the subscription services known as Next ICT, foresees the onsite installation of an appliance, running on outsourcing with the NetEye Syslog Auditing. It enables the real time registration of the accesses by administrators and asynchronously transmits these logs to the CAP data center, after encrypting them. The CAP data center, redundant of all its connectivity and safety components hosts a dedicated system, which, by being clustered and therefore highly reliable, ensures the gathering, examining and storing of digitally signed data, in full observance of the current legislation.

NetEye Syslog Auditing, studied and created by Würth Phoenix, offers a complete IT monitoring solution for companies that must manage their own IT processes – getting more and more complicated – often with limited staff and budgets. The system is easy to use and implement and can be perfectly integrated in complex infrastructures. Moreover, being an Open Source software, it does not imply any licensing costs, thus ensuring an affordable maintenance.

    Building new synergies

Fabio Stanga, General Director of CAP, stated: “I am really satisfied of the cooperation with Würth Phoenix, because their appliance is the first on the market to offer a whole diversified and easily manageable solution in Saas modality. Through this agreement, we are able to meet the requirements of companies and CAP, in this particular case, will ensure the service supply to the customer, whereas Würth Phoenix will offer product support as well as 3rd level assistance.

Georg Kostner, System Integration Manager of Würth Phoenix about the new partnership: “CAP allows us to see the privacy law measure regarding the access logs as an opportunity to offer a service. In the meantime our research and development activities continue to work on the product, adjusting it to the new market demands and to the new regulations or standards, which will emerge in the future."
