With Stahlgruber a new major ERP-project for Microsoft Dynamics AX partner Würth Phoenix
The STAHLGRUBER GmbH in Poing near Munich is one of the largest suppliers of car accessories and spare parts. To redesign its IT strategy the company engaged the ERP wholesale specialist Würth Phoenix to carry out the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX and the industry solution WÜRTHPHOENIX Trade+ to optimize all distribution and logistics processes. With this move, the company will provide a more effective support of all business activities for its European subsidiaries. Multi-currency and multilingual capabilities as well as the comprehensive provision of country and region-specific functions in the software systems were the main features that Stahlgruber considered essential prerequisites for its international growth.
An ERP to best support the international growth
As an international and multi-company designed base platform, Microsoft Dynamics AX convinced Stahlgruber with its flexibility and ease of use, attributes that are complemented perfectly by the wholesale modules of WÜRTHPHOENIX Trade+.
Wilhelm Röhm, IT Manager at STAHLGRUBER, and Mirco Grübel, Managing Director of the national subsidiary in Prague that is to be the first to introduce the solution, were at one in their decision. “The closer we can remain to the standard configuration when using an ERP solution, the less the maintenance costs for version changes and migrations will be in the long term. WÜRTHPHOENIX Trade+ in conjunction with Microsoft Dynamics AX proved to be the ideal candidate under this aspect.”

- Hubert Kofler, CEO of Würth Phoenix and Bernhard Strauch, CEO of Stahlgruber
Würth Phoenix as implementation partner with the necessary industry expertise
Being part of the global acting Würth Group, Würth Phoenix can also contribute the necessary international experience as well as the special industry knowledge in its role as implementation partner. The highest certificated Microsoft Dynamics AX partner can indeed refer to over 60 successfully completed Microsoft ERP projects in the areas of wholesale and logistics within and outside its parent group.
The project for STAHLGRUBER is scheduled to go live at the first subsidiary, Autocora OS in the Czech Republic, by the end of 2011. The areas covered are Purchasing, Sales and Logistics, with partial integration of Accounting with the central SAP system. The implementation will serve as the basis for further roll-outs at the other European subsidiaries.
